About 15 or so pounds, BUT, once in place, stays in place. Anyone who is seriously out of shape and/or a senior, (both of which I am), will find this to be heavy. That said, if I keep working with this, (which I must!), I imagine my strength will build, allowing for easier moving.LCD readout is not backlit.Tip: Start slow! Build up your time and resistance as you build more muscle mass. Position yourself close, and comfortable to the unit to avoid lower back strain.If things change, I'll update my review. For now, I couldn't be happier with this Yolid eliptical!
