I know they say it's for kids, but while everyone is home, I needed a desk for working from home that doesn't take up much space, and let's me stand. This does the trick.It's just the right size for my phone, laptop, bluetooth speaker, and a bottle of water. And it's sturdy enough for an adult.The one thing to note is that it is not as adjustable as it says. You can definitely adjust it, but it isn't quick or easy. You need to loosen multiple screws, and likely need to remove whatever you have on the desk. Especially if this is for a child, don't expect quick transitions between standing and sitting.But for an adult, or anyone looking to almost always keep the same height, this has worked out really well.Since it is for a makeshift home office during the pandemic, I do wish it was on wheels. But it is light enough to pick up and move a few feet.The expected arrival window began on Friday. Late in the afternoon on the Wednesday prior, FedEx delivered one large box to my front door. I put it together Thursday morning. All parts were present. None was damaged or defective. The assembly instructions were clear, easy to follow. A short time later I had a sturdy stand-up desk. Its max height, 42 inches, is ideal for me (6 foot). The desk surface is large enough to hold your laptop and for you to write in a full-size notebook beside it. A desk lamp could fit on it, too, as well as the papers and paraphernalia that accumulate around a home computer. The surface wipes clean. The book box is strong and large enough to hold twice a full-size American Heritage Dictionary. The desk remains secure and rigid even if I lean on it. The swinging footrest, should you use it, swings silently. One note on assembly: The screws can be hard to turn in and some screw in where it would be hard to use a power driver or even a screwdriver with a fat, squishy handle. You'll need a strong #2 Phillips head screwdriver, a strong hand and likely a pair of good, leather work gloves. Excellent desk.My students love their AlphaBetter desks. I highly recommend them. They may cost more, but they are sturdy, and the fidget bar is quiet. I do not allow my students to use their fidget bar with the stools; they bang against the stool legs. I recommend that you make a rule that they can only have one foot on the fidget bar at a time. There is a lot of storage space inside the desk and on the shelf under the desk.We received a large donation for the special Ed Dept. We have purchased three of these desk. They have been a hit. No issues with assembly. It’s been a hit with the students.Great quality! Easy to assemble with 2 people. Sturdy. My kids love them!We purchased this for our son to be used in his school classroom. It was easy to assemble (about 30 minutes) and it helped him concentrate on his work by standing, rather than sitting.This product arrived without the 8, flathead screws needed to assemble the desk. I would like to have these sent, as I don’t want to return the product.I have 5 of these in my high school math classroom. What a DREAM! The students love the large writing surface. It feels like they are just having a little business meeting at the desks. I have definitely noticed classroom participation increasing since students began using these desks.Several years of using and still like new :) Very nice, growing with a kid, heavy, durable.But very expensive.My son is doing so much better of this past month with his desk in school. I wish I got this many years ago, but now that it is in his school, in Canada I am telling everyone about it.
