I took a chance and bought two of these for my wife and I. I thought the installation was straight forward, about 1.25 hours for the first one and less than 1 hour for the second one including unpacking. Holes were pre-drilled on the desktop itself, the only thing to keep in mind is when installing the sync rod, ensure the caps are loose, make sure you put the bare end first, turn it a little if you have too so it goes in completely, about an inch and a half or so. then stretch it and again turn it if you have too so that it goes all the way in in the other, then tighten the caps. Te desk is actually 29" high from floor to top of desk top and has a USB port on the controller that can be used for charging. If you are installing a keyboard tray and not using the VIVO one that attaches to the front, make sure that the legs are no more than 10" apart from front to back or ensure that they clear at least 2" so you can clear the crossbar, that's what I had to do with the Fellows tray I have. The desk is sturdy with no wobble, haven't had it long so can't speak about longevity. All in all satisfied with the purchase. This review will focus on comparing this VIVO standing desk I just got 2 weeks ago to the Vari standing desk I have owned for almost a year.I'll start by saying that if I had nothing else to compare it to, this desk would seem perfectly adequate. It goes up and down, it provides a stable surface on which to place a laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitor, office supplies and other similar things you'd expect to put on your desk.If I didn't have another standing desk to compare it to, the fact that this VIVO only has a single motor and uses a bar, which is "out in the open" and not hidden inside of the desk to make the desk go up and down would not even phase me.It feels fairly solid and while we've only been using it for 2 weeks, we make sure to go up and down several times each day, in order to quickly figure out if the motor is going to fail us. So far it has held up.Again — if I did not have a Vari desk that cost over twice the price (VIVO = $299, Vari = $695), I would have basically no complaints about this desk. That said, since my first standing desk was a Vari, I have plenty to "complain" about -- really, these are not complaints, just things that I've noticed that are not issues with my more expensive desk.1) ASSEMBLYWOW! This is one department where you REALLY get what you pay for. The cheaper VIVO has a bunch of screws and bolts and connecting rods and pieces that have to be attached to the desk in order to get the legs on. It took two of a little more than an hour to put it together. (about 75 minutes)By contrast, I literally built the Vari desk by myself in 15 minutes. There are literally 3 pieces to that desk (2 legs and 1 tabletop). All you need to do is slide the legs into the tabletop and tighten the bolts and you're done. DONE! The only help I needed was in flipping the desk over, because it is HEAVY!2) STURDINESSSpeaking of heavy, that leads me to my second point. Without anything to compare it to, the VIVO desk feels adequately sturdy. But when you have the Vari literally side by side, it just feels so much sturdier. Part of it is the fact that the Vari has 2 motors (one in each leg), but I can't help but feel that the wooden tabletop is also a heavier, higher quality wood.3) SIZEThe VIVO's depth (front to back if you are sitting at it) is about 6 inches smaller. Not a huge deal for most people, but I definitely use every inch of my desk, so it's worth it to me.4) MOTORSAs I mentioned before, the VIVO has 1 motor, which gets the job done, but doesn't compare to the confidence that you get from the Vari's dual motors.5) WARRANTYThe VIVO comes with a 3 year warranty, vs the Vari's 5 year warranty.6) EXTRASThe VIVO comes with the desk and that's it.As you might expect with a higher-priced product, the Vari came with some velcro cable ties to help with cable management, a rubber coaster to keep moisture off the wooden table top and these "clip on" hooks that literally just grab onto any edge of your desk so you can hang headphones, cables or other accessories from them for easy access.7) MOVINGHaving just moved from an apartment to a townhouse, I can tell you that the more expensive Vari makes for a MUCH easier move. Literally all you need to do is remove 2 bolts per leg and that allows you to disassemble the desk to completely flat components. (2 legs and 1 table top)The Vivo is much, much, much harder to disassemble, not only because there are 4 screws per leg. Yes, these screws go directly into the wood, so too many assembly/disassembly cycles and you are left with a stripped hole in the wood. But not only do you have 4 screws per leg, you also have to contend with the crossbar that goes between the legs, which has its own myriad of screws to go with it.---- FINAL VERDICT ----Hands down, if you have the money, get the Vari. No doubt it is a better, higher quality product with a longer warranty. That said, I recognize that I am currently blessed to finally be in a strong financial position in my life after many years of struggle. If you don't have the money for the Vari, the VIVO is perfectly adequate and 90% of the time, you won't even know you're missing anything. The desk goes up and down, it's solid, it holds things, it's perfectly fine, especially if you don't have a Vari to compare it to.Pros:Overall, this desk has been fantastic so far. Goes up and down quickly, is sturdy and doesnt shake around when using it and gives you plenty of presets for multiple people in the household.Cons:The only problem with this desk is the built in USB port for charging. It is facing towards the center of the desk where you are sitting/standing. It is easy to knock it with your hand/elbow/armrest. The usb port should be flipped to the other side or even just add a second one onto the other side.So far the desk is decent, the frame seems sturdy enough and the tabletop is of a good quality. It wasn't too bad to put together solo but I would recommend having another person. The tabletop comes in three separate pieces which mine did not perfectly line up with each other in the back, which is a little frustrating, but I won't really ever see it.The packaging that the tabletop comes in is some of the worst I've seen. Immediately upon opening the box, thousands of tiny styrofoam balls went all over my living room. They also seem to be statically charged and stuck to every piece of the tabletop and when trying to wipe them off they stuck to my hands. I vacuumed three times and still managed to find those little styrofoam balls here and there.I bought the 60 inch desk in October 2021. I loved it and wanted to buy a second one to make my office space bigger. Sadly, the desk has different feet that are shorter and not as nice as the original. The hardware is all different. Even the motor and most of the parts are different. The only item that is the same as the first one is the top face of the desk. I was very very disappointed.Les 3 panneaux pré perforé, ne sont pas perforé correctement.Résultat 1mm de différence entre les panneaux!La structure faite en Chine sans problème. Le dessus de la table en 3 sections fait au Canada.C’est le premier qu j’achète avec des sections et le seul dont l’assemblage ne fonctionne pas correctementI am so happy that I invested in this desk. I work from home and I highly recommend you invest in this bad boy as well, especially if you have chronic pain. You absolutely need two people (minimum) to put this together and please be advised that it comes in two boxes and the smaller box with the frame is very heavy. You also require the use of a drill when putting it together.Since I bought this, I don’t think I have ever gone a full day in one position. I use the standing feature a lot and have benefitted with higher concentration, reduced chronic pain and weight loss. I recommend getting an anti-fatigue standing mat as well.I checked out tons of different models of standing/adjustable desks and this one was the absolute best value for money. Very happy with my purchase!Depuis le temps que je voulais un bureau ergonomique et 2 position. (Assis/debout)Super robuste et facile a installer.Belle qualité de texture pour la planche du dessus en bois.I will revise the review later after I use the product a little bit but it seems sturdy and has a 1" thick one piece top that can more easily handle heavy multi-monitor mounts compared to thinner two-piece tops. There is a flaw in assembly process: the default length of the telescopic cross-bar when connected to the bases, does not make them line up with the holes on the back of the desktop. Adjustment process was very tricky and also the bases or the holes on the desktop were not square so it was pretty difficult to make both sides line up.It could be improved by marking standard lengths on the cross-bar made for standard desktops: 43", 47", 55", etc.
